Located 84 Kms from Hubli, in North Kannada district adjacent to Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is the beautiful picnic spot, Sykes Point. It is named after a British officer Sykes who had surveyed the area. From its summit, one can get a panoramic view of Kali River flowing through the undulating lush green forests below.
