Lotus Temple - Bahai House of Worship

Bahai House of Worship popularly known as Lotus Temple is located at Bahapur hill in an area of 26.6 acre amidst a beautiful garden, 12 km southeast of Connaught place. It is peaceful and cool inside the temple, where one can meditate or pray silently. The view of the lit temple at night is spectacular. The nearest metro station is Nehru Place or Kalkaji Mandir station.

The design of this Bahais house of worship is inspired by Lotus the exquisitely beautiful flower and symbol of purity which is associated with the worship and religion in India. The lotus shaped temple is surrounded by nine large pools of water which not only enhances the beauty of the temple but also plays a significant role in the natural cooling system.
