How to get there
Tripura By Air :
The State capital, Agartala is well connected by air with
Kolkata, Guwahati, Delhi and Chennai. Agartala airport is located 12kms
from the city. There are direct flights from Agartala to Silchar,
Guwahati, Imphal, Kolkata and Delhi. Connecting flights are there from
Agartala to Bhabhaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad
and Ranchi. Flight from Guwahati or Calcutta takes less than 45 minutes to reach Agartala. The state has three more small airports at Khowai, Kamalpur and Kailashahar where small-chartered planes can land but they are not functional at present. But helicopter service
to different places in the state is functional in these

Tripura By Rail :
Tripura is also connected by rail via Guwahati and the nearest rail head is at Kumarghat which is 140 Km. away from
Agartala. Reservation is available at Agartala, Udaipur and Dharmanagar.

Tripura By Road :
Agartala is connected by road with Guwahati via Shillong by National Highway No.44. It takes about 24 hours by road from Guwahati to reach Agartala. Good luxury coaches, both of private travel agencies and public sector transport corporations ply on this road.
There is regular International Bus service from Dhaka, Bangladesh to
Agartala which takes about 4 hours.
Agartala
is 1645 kms from Kolkata, 587 kms from Guwahati, 487 kms from Shillong and
250 kms from Silchar while the distance between Agartala and Dhaka
(capital of Bangladesh) is just 150 kms
