Telefronica Blue Charges AheadSaturday, November 15, 2008 As part of Volvo Ocean Race exhibtion Volvo group will present its world class simulator at Willingdon Island, Cochin. Public will be given opportunity to walk around the Village, to test the attractions, and soak up the atmosphere. There will will be the interactive Volvo Ocean Race Experience, comprising of the Ride, the Dome, the Pool and the Grinding Challenge. The Ride is a simulator that gives users the sensation of what it is like to be at sea on a Volvo Open 70 in extreme conditions. The Dome is a cinematic representation of life on board during the race, whilst the Pool allows participants to show their tactical skills on scale model Volvo Ocean Race boats during an ‘in-port' race. The Grinding Challenge is a test of strength, showing just how physically demanding the boats can be. An exhibition of Indian brands, named 'Ocean Race Trade Fest', will be organized from 2nd to 13th December 2008. Volvo Ocean Race Stopover has been considered as a perfect platform for launching of products and services. General Public will be allowed free entry in to the Race Village. However, there will be strict security regulations and all visitors will be subjected to security search. Visitors will not be allowed to carry packets, bags, briefcases etc. Schools and educational institutions wanting to bring their students for conducted tours to the Race Village may please contact the Port officers at phone No.94477 59018 or email at - visit@cochinoceanrace.com for facilitation. Consideringthe business potential and visitor turn out, the organizers of the Stopover has decided to provide an opportunity to the local business community to showcase their products and services at the Trade Fest.
