ICC T20 World Cups

T20 or Twenty Twenty is a relatively new, shorter duration variant of the regular One day Cricket, which was introduced in 2003 with an aim to boost the games popularity among the general public, especially the youngsters. In T20, matches will consist of one innings per side, each innings being limited to a maximum of 20 overs. Each match shall consist of 2 sessions of 1 hour 25 minutes each, separated by a 20 minute interval between innings.

Originally T20 was introduced by England and Wales Cricket Board in 2003, and in no time became extremely popular with other cricket boards & cricket playing countries. International Cricket council introduced the World T20 / T20 World Cup in 2007 with its 10 full time member countries and five other associate members chosen through World T20 qualifier. Generally held every 2 years with exceptions, 6 tournaments have been played so far.

World Cup 2007
