Marathi beauty Sonali started her career as a model.
She was selected in a talent search by the Stardust magazine, made
her debut in Bollywood with the film 'Aag' (1994) and has worked
with almost all top stars. Though most of her films except 'Diljale'
(1996) and 'Sarfarosh' (1999) were flops, she charmed movie goers
with her fresh innocent look and sweet smile. She also acted in
a few Telugu and Tamil films and anchored for television shows like
'Kya masti kya dhoom' and 'Boogie-Woogie'. Awards to her credit
include Star Screen Most Promising Female Award Newcomer 1994, Filmfare
Lux New Face 1995, Star Screen Best Supporting Actress 2001 and
Star Screen Award 2004 for best Marathi actress. Sonali married
film maker Goldie Behl in 2001 and has a son, Ranvir. She took a
break from films after her marriage and made a come back with the
critically acclaimed Marathi movie 'Anaahat' (2003) directed by
Amol Palekar. She is back into modelling, has debuted in Theater
plays and was seen in a Marathi remix video 'Cham Cham Kartai Hai'.
