Nandana Sen aka Nandana Dev Sen, a New York-based
writer and an aspiring filmmaker cum actor, was noticed after her
performance in Gautam Ghosh’s 'Gudiya'(1997). Being the daughter
of Bengali writer Nabanita Dev Sen and Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen,
Nandana was always fascinated by cinema. She grew up in India, Britain
and US, and has worked in films from all the three continents. After
dabbling in theatre, scripting, production and acting in a string
of foreign films, Nandana has resurfaced in Bollywood. She has carved
a distinct niche of her own with a handful of films. Though the
gorgeous lass debuted in Ram Gopal Varma's 'My
Wife's Murder', it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Black'
that was released first, followed by 'Tango
Charlie' (2005). This multi-talented personality with
her breathtaking smile and impish eyes is also a gifted Manipuri
dancer.
