She had a fabulous year both in her career as well as her personal life. Ash had two Hindi film releases in 2006, Yash Chopra's 'Dhoom 2' and J P Dutta's 'Umrao Jaan'.

Though Umrao Jaan was colourful and had its share of moments, it was declared a big flop. In the film her off screen relationship with Abhishek showed through onscreen.

In Dhoom 2, she gave a knock-out performance.
