Unknown to his family he is more popular as Valayar Paramasivam, the
spirit don in the Valayar area. His father had died leaving a lot of
debt and young Unni had left home in search of a job. He meets a lorry
driver Chandy (Murali) who was working for Chinnadan ( Riyaz Khan) a
spirit don, and gets into the business. Chandy and Unni later start
on their own and they make a lot of money. They become the kingpins
in the business.
Meanwhile Balu, Unni's brother becomes an IPS officer and gets posted
at Valayar. He is on the trail of Valyar Paramasivam not knowing that
he is his own brother. Although Unni tries to keep it a secret, soon
his real identity is revealed. His family shuns him and he tries to
turn over a new leaf.. will he succeed in his ordeal?? what with his
own brother and his rival Chinnadan's goons on his trail.
The film is an entertainer, with lots of humour and action. Cinematography
by Sukumar especially song sequences in the locales of Pollachi and
Phuket are superb. The screenplay suffers at places and the climax is
cliched. Performance wise Dileep carries the film on his shoulders.
He proves that he is as comfortable in action scenes as he is in comedy
roles. Kavya Madhavan does her role well as also the supporting cast
including Indrajeet, Kaviyoor Ponnamma etc Harishree Ashokan and Cochin
Haneefa in their roles give comical relief.
Overall the film is an entertainer worth a watch.
