With Violet's inventiveness, Baudelaire children escaped the first
sinister plot by Olaf to kill them. After a few attempts on the children's
lives, Count Olaf loses their custody and they are send to their Uncle
Monty (Billy Connolly) and then to Aunt Josephine (Meryl Streep). But
Olaf tracks them down no matter where they go and tries to kill them.
Watch the movie and find out if the children can foil Olaf's evil plans
and save their lives.
Director Brad Siberling masterfully narrates a story in which bad things
happen to innocent kids- show how they are mistreated by adults, and
placed in excessive peril. He has succeeded in making a paradoxically
created bleak comedy with a fantasy. He cleverly combines comedy, fantasy
and horror in one film. The movie is filled with special effects, wonderful
visuals and beautiful imagery.
Jim Carrey plays the best sinister character as Count Olaf. He shines
as a brilliant villain and is perfect for the role. All cast members
have put up an excellent performance. Film will be more attractive for
children, but if you are a Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep or Jude Law fan,
you will love it. Even though, movie doesn't stick to the book word
by word, it is a hilarious and cleverly taken film which is 'Not An
Unfortunate Waste Of 2 Hours'.
We rate this movie Good.
