For this all we need is a fresh cucumber without any dots or marks on it,
and a small piece of carrot. A mix of Green, white and red colour will give a good eye
appeal.
We will cut out the required length from the sharp edge of the
cucumber. Now we will make a slit not too deeply, from the top to one side
with a sharp knife till the end. Similarly slit the opposite side straight
to the first slit. Then again at its 90 degree make a slit. Now repeat on the opposite
side. Continue on all sides at equal intervals. In total make 8 slits.
Using a peeler remove the inner central portion with the seeds, smoothly.
Make sure the seeds are fully removed.
Now slightly separate each division made with the slit. Shape each
division to form a petal.
Now we will again slit each petal horizontally.
Carefully slit after holding each petal outwards as it has all chances to break.
The outer portion of the petal should be thinner than the inner one.
If these outer petals doesn't stand separately, then place small white pieces of cucumber in between
the outer and inner petal. Do it only if the outer and inner petal does not
stand separately. Make sure the small pieces are of white color and not
green as it will be clearly visible and appear as an extra fitting.
Make fine lines across in both directions on top of the carrot
piece. Just press on top to make it separate. Keep it in the center of
the cucumber flower.
It is the easiest vegetable flower to make. We can arrange these flowers in
salads by just cutting its bottom to make it stand erect, OR set it as a flower in
a flower vase.
