Indian museum is located about 2 km from BBD Bagh. Housed in a huge building of Italian architecture on Jawaharlal Nehru Road built in 1875, it  is one of the earliest museums established in the world and considered the largest in the country. Popularly known as Jadu Ghar (Magic House), it has over 60 galleries with a huge collection of artifacts.
