Shamirpet Lake, situated 27 kms away from Hyderabad towards the northern
direction of Secunderabad, is an ideal picnic spot with a serene environment.
Boating facility is available and in its vicinity one can see the Shamirpet
deer park. It is amazing to see the various species of deer that come
to the lake to quench their thirst. The best time to visit the lake is
from October to March. Accommodation facilities are provided by Andhra
Pradesh Tourism board and AP Forest Department.
