Thiruvarpu Sri Krishna Temple

Devoted to Lord Krishna, Sri Krishna Temple is located in the scenic village of Thiruvarpu which is at a distance of 6kms from Kottayam. The rituals at the temple rituals starts early in the morning at 3 o' clock and usha payasam is the main offering. The annual temple festival is celebrated for ten days in the month of April. The highlight of the festival is the Vilakkeduppu i.e carrying lighted lamps by the virgin girls.
