Global Peace Palace

Global Peace Palace alias Shanti Mahal is a small replica of Taj Mahal, build by an army veteran Mr. AKB Kumar in memory of war heroes and victims of terror attacks. This 21st century monument, sprawling over an area of 7,000 square feet is located at Thumboly a seaside village in Alappuzha about 4 kms from the city centre. The construction of Global Peace Palace was started during the year 2008 and was opened to the public on December 2011 by the chief minister of Kerala, Oomman Chandi. The purpose of this venture is to spread peace the message of global peace not only in our country but also in exotic areas.

The 42 feet high Global peace palace has 4 minarets which represent army, navy, airforce and the para - military force. The dome and the minarets of the monument depicts the names of heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the country. Global peace palace has a miniature library and a small museum to highlight the perils and pains of war and terrorism. The Global Flag mast in front of the monument with miniature sized flags of all the nations represents the Indian truism 'Vasudhiyva Kudumbakam' which means World is a single family.

Free entry to the monument will be allowed to the public especially to the students which would pave the way for taking root of national integration and patriotism in them.
