Chowdaiah memorial hall built in the shape of a violin, is named after Karnataka's violin maestro T. Chowdaiah. This multipurpose air-conditioned hall is a popular venue for cultural events. Located at Gayathri Devi Park Extension below the Sankey Tank Bund Road, it is said to be the first building in the shape of a musical instrument in the whole world.
