The magnificent Church of Our Lady of Mercy is situated at Colva, 39kms from Panaji. The church which houses the miraculous statue of Menino Jesuse (Child Jesus) was originally constructed in 1630 and was rebuilt in the eighteenth century. It is also famous for its annual religious event 'Fama of Menino Jesuse' which is celebrated on the 3rd Monday of October every year.
