Himesh Reshammiya is one of the most sought after music directors in Hindi cinema today. He rose to fame when he created a new trend in Hindi Music with the sensational music of 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne'(2005). He won the Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer award for crooning the title track of this film. Himesh started his career producing a TV serial 'Andaaz' (1995). He first composed music for the film 'Bandhan' (1998) followed by 'Pyaar Kiya Tho Darna Kya'(1998) in which his solo 'Odh le chunariya' became a hit. After four years his first solo film 'Humraaz '(2002) was released followed by 'Ye Hai Jalwa' (2002). The mega blockbuster album 'Tere Naam' (2003) was a turning point for Reshammiya. His popularity keeps rising with smashing tracks in films like 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', 'Maine Pyar
Kyon Kiya' (2005), 'Aksar' (2006) and in a more classical style in 'Banaras' (2006) different from his usual youthful techno beats. He has composed music for over 50 Hindi films. After conquering every peak possible in the Hindi charts with his own distinct style of music, Reshammiya has now set his sight and sound southwards.
