The songs in the film 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein' remake of 'Minnale' the Tamil
movie is a disappointment compared to the original score which made booming
sales. Composer Harris Jayaraj, whose tunes worked wonderfully in the original
fails to impress this time.
Sonu Nigam and Kavitha Krishnamurthy comes together in the title song' Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein'.
Even these talented singers cannot save the song which has stale lyrics and
music. Second song 'Bolo Bolo' sung by Shaan, is no better. Sonu Nigam is back
with 'Oh Mama Mama' which is the last song in side A.
'Zara Zara' sung by Bombay Jayashree is good but lacks the seductiveness and
life that the corresponding song 'Vasheekara' had in 'Minnale'.
It is difficult to believe it is Roop Kumar Rathod straining to sing 'Dil Ko' if
you have heard his wonderful voice before. The album winds with 'Sach Kaha Raha
Hai' by Kaykay
which has nothing much to say about.
