Jayayraj's new film '4 the people' is making waves in Kerala.. especially for its hit song 'Lajjavathiye'.

The story is about four engineering students (Arun, Arjun, Bharath and Padmakumar) who take it as their duty to fight against injustice in their own peculiar way. They believe they have to react to any social prejudices that they come across.. be it corruption, wife bashing or the likes.

They launch a website inviting the public to mail them their grievances and problems. They shortlist the person against whom the people has maximum complaints, find their whereabouts and give punishments they think right, like chopping off his hands and fingers. They do it in style .. donning black leather outfits and helmets and travelling around in bikes.

The group known as '4 the people' soon captures the limelight and becomes the talk of the town. They get public support and soon becomes idols of the youth. The government apprehensive by their popularity tries to curb their growth and entrusts the task of booking them to the New City Police Commissioner Sunil. Sunil a smart officer goes ahead and nabs them.

Although the story line is thin, the film is fast paced and technically brilliant. The director has tried something different mainly aimed at the youth. The technicians behind the scenes have done a good job, be it editing, cinematography, writing. So is the music which is different by new comer Jassie Gift which has become a rage among the youngsters.

Jayaraj has introduced all newcomers in the cast except for Bharat (of 'Boys' fame) and Gopika. Arjun, Arun, Sravana, Pranathi, Sunil, Padma Kumar and Zacharia (Mammootty's youngest brother). All of them have contributed their part to the movie.

The film is a sure winner with the youth, may not go well with the serious cinegoers.
