Water Color Painting |

Materials Required :
Tips :
Patting water onto the design helps the
colour to blend better and also gives a better finish. Avoid mixing paint
straight with water as it will make the paint too watery.
To get a lighter
shade of a colour, mix a little white paint with the dark shade. We can get
Peach by mixing scarlet and white, brighten green by mixing sap green and
yellow. To darken a colour, add a tinch of black colour.
Water colour always looks better with free hand drawing. When you trace a design, the trace (pencil) marks will always be seen through the painting. Watch the design and try to do a free hand drawing. If you need to get an outline you can use Burnt Sienna with a thin brush (no.00) to give a rough outline and fill it up with the required colour. This paint will blend with the colours and the outline made with it won't be visible through the painting.
At least five brushes of different thickness should be kept ready when you start painting a design. You can use thin brushes in narrow spaces and thick brushes in broader areas as per your discretion.
