Bekal Hole Aqua Park
Bekal Hole Aqua Park is a unique leisure spot, located just one km north
of the Bekal Fort. A haven for the water sport enthusiasts, the park is the
only one of its kind in North Malabar that provides facilities like pedal boats
and water cycles. The park offers a long day relaxation and the visitors can
enjoy the water rides through the cool stretches of the Bekal hole backwaters.

Fort Beach
The beautiful Bakel beach with the historically and archeologically significant
Bakel fort in the background is one among the long-familiar beaches in Kasargod.
The beach strewed with palm trees and exotic blend of white sands offers a fabulous
landscape and it is beautifully illuminated during the evening.
Bekal beach and is surroundings are well maintained and preserved by the Bekal
Resorts Development Corporation (BRDC). A park has been constructed for children's
below 14 years and for relaxation purpose multi sheds and Eru madams are available.
Parking and toilet facilities are also provided by BRDC. For the well maintenance
of the site, a normal entry fee and parking fee would be collected from the
visitors.
Pallikere Beach
Located 1km south of Bekal fort at a walking distance, Pallikere beach is
an ideal tourist destination having facilities for relaxation and recreation.
This charming beach encompassed with coconut palms and dense bushed offers a
magnificent view of the fort. Every year, thousands of tourists throng here
to enjoy the essence of natural beauty at its best..
Kappil Beach
The remote and secluded Kappil beach lies at a distance of 6kms away from
the Bekal fort is an ideal spot for nature lovers. A relatively unexplored destination,
the beach is fast emerging as a tourist's delight. Stretches along more than
25 acres of land, this clean and shallow beach provided opportunities for swimming
and sun bathing.
The hills known as Kodi Cliff, located near the Kappil beach offers a panoramic
view of the Arabian sea, blue skies and rolling sands
Kanwatheertha Beach
Well known for its scenic beauty, Kanwatheertha beach is considered as one
of the leading tourists spots in North Kerala. Located 3kms from Manjeswaram,
this charming lagoon with its vast expanse of white sand is a great spot to
spend time leisurely. What makes its more attractive is the large calm pool-like
formation of the sea on the vast beach which is very ideal for swimming.
Hosdurg Beach
Located at a distance of 23kms south of Kasargod, Hosdurg beach is a wide
strip flowing along the side of the Kanhangad town, also known by the name Hosdurg.
During the nesting season, i.e after the month of October, a large number of
turtles can be seen frequent in the vast stretch of golden sand.
Azhithala Beach
Calm and secluded, Azhithala beach is situated 25kms south of Bekal. Azhithala
is a place where tejaswini river mouths the Arabian sea. Scattered with casuarinas
trees, the beach is an ideal place for relaxation and long walks.
Valiyaparamba
Backwaters
One of the most scenic backwater stretch in Kerala, Valiyaparamba is an
ideal picnic spot and a fishing center, at a distance of 4kms from Nileswaram.
The place derived its name from Valiyaparamba Island, the longest in this region,
stretching 24kms from Azhithala to Ezhimala. Tourists can enjoy the backwater
cruise by riding the Kettuvallam (Kerala Houseboats) through the lush green
palm groves and the paddy fields. Scores of little islands, narrow beaches,
thick groves of coconut and areca-nut and four rapidly flowing rivers make the
backwaters a lasting experience. House boat cruises are organised by Bekal Resorts
Development Corporation (BRDC) in the Tejeswini river from Kottappuram to Kannur.
They also arrange bonfire dinners on nearby islands, canoeing, visits to temples,
forts and tribal villages.
