Anand
Located 35 km from Vadodara, Anand is an important center of Agriculture and trade.
Anand is also famous for the Amul Milk Dairy, the biggest dairy in India established
during the 9th century, which gives employment to more than 60,000 families in
the area. Amul has also established a factory of cattle-feed, veterinary hospitals,
artificial insemination centers for animals and hybrid-cow breeding center. Anand
is also known for its educational institutions mainly agricultural, engineering
institutes including the well-known Vallabh Vidyanagar University.
