Hareli Festival 

Hareli is celebrated mainly by the farming community in the month of Shravan. The farmers worship their farm equipment and cows. They place branches and leaves of Bhelwa tree in the fields and pray for a good crop and also hang Neem branches at the main entrance of their homes to prevent seasonal diseases. It is also the time when Baigas or traditional medical practitioners teach and evaluate their disciples. During this festival children play Gedi, when they walk on Bamboos and take part in the gedi race.

Pola Festival 

Pola festival follows the Hareli festival and is celebrated by worshipping bullocks. During the festival children play with idols of Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva made of clay and fitted with clay wheels. Bull race is a major event of this festival.

Teeja Festival 

It is a festival celebrated by married women when they pray for the welfare of their husbands. It is an occasion for married women to visit their parent's home and they spend their time in a festive and devotional mood.

Rajim Lochan Festival 

Held every year from 16th February to1st March, the Lochan Festival at Rajim is celebrated with great enthusiasm. People are attracted to Rajim Utsav as this place, 48 km from Raipur is also known as the city of temples. Various performances are held by singers, dancers and local artistes. It is a colourful festival and the onlookers are treated to a merry and cheerful atmosphere. 

Champaran Annual Fair 

An annual fair is held every year in Champaran (56 km from Raipur) with great fanfare in the month of Magh (January-February). This cultural fair attracts people especially Vaishnavas from all over the country.

Bhoramdeo Festival 

Bhoramdeo festival is celebrated every year in the last week of March within the premises of the Bhoramdeo temple (140km from Raipur). The temple complex bustles with energy and activity during the festival. People dressed in colourful attire come to witness this cultural extravaganza and also take part in the various activities organized as part of the festival.
